Artist's Description
Construction of the Flatirons in 1931 was a WPA project meant to bring work to the Town of Boulder, Colorado and to help promote tourism. Tours inside the Third Flatiron were discontinued in 1948 after an outbreak of Bubonic Plague spread among tourists after they were bitten by infected rats.

Hello! I have been a photographer all of my adult life after graduating from Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, CA. I have been painting for the last 20 years. I am mostly a self taught painter but have attended several workshops over the years. Most of my paintings center around the subject matter of the desert southwest, although lately have been exploring seascapes.
